The ferry flight of the first Risen SuperVeloce to the United States took place at the beginning of August.
The aircraft (you can have all the details on the Porto Aviation website), powered by a Rotax 915iS, was flown by Alberto Porto across the Atlantic Ocean, along the Northern route.
The flight started on the morning of August 2, 2021 from Voghera Airport, Porto Aviation's operational base; the first day of flight ended with the landing at Reykjavik Airport (Iceland), after the stops at Breda International Airport (Holland), operational base of a Risen 912iS, and at Wick Airport (Scotland), to put on the necessary suits to fly over the Atlantic.
The following day, August 3, 2021, the Risen SuperVeloce took off from Reykjavik with the aim of reaching Narsarsuaq Airport (Greenland) but the weather forced Alberto Porto to change route, landing at Kulusuk Airport (Greenland), 500 km further north.
The day of August 4, 2021 therefore saw a double leg: after reaching Narsarsuaq Airport (Greenland), and stopping there briefly, the Risen SuperVeloce left to land at Goose Bay Airport (Canada), the North American gateway.
The next day, a second route in Canadian territory brought the Risen SuperVeloce to Miramichi Airport where, due to the pandemic, it had to stop for a short period, before entering the USA and delivering.
